Just as every hike begins with a single step following careful planning and preparation, visibility in numbers was founded to assist business owners by providing them with relevant financial visibility into their numbers.
Having hiked in different parts of the world, one thing remains consistent, you need a clear trail map, appropriate hiking gear, and a reliable compass preferably a human one that knows the terrain.
With over 25 years experience working with a diverse range of small businesses, the similarities between hiking and growing a business from inception become apparent. Much like embarking on a challenging hiking journey, they both require a strategic approach to navigate the twists, uphill climbs, and descents along the way.
Hiking trails aren’t always predictable (nor is the weather in Patagonia!). Likewise, the business landscape is dynamic and we need to anticipate whatever the seasons may bring.
In conversation with my clients it became clear that small businesses were often overwhelmed with reports that contained a barrage of numbers that were too complex to understand.
It is my desire to break those numbers down and present them in a way that provides a clear roadmap through visuals and reporting that tells a story of where the business has been and where it is headed.
